CA employed in a private firm and also doing independent practice

This query is : Resolved

14 September 2007 I know a person who is very much employed in a private firm as General Manager. He is also engaged in private practice and in his personal time, he does the attest functions , internal audit for outside companies etc.

How is that possible ? Please clarify.

14 September 2007 TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE the inst. OF CA(ICAI) AND INST. OF C.S( ICSI) ALLOW PARTIME LIMITED PRACTICE ON A CASE TO CASE BASIS.BUT ONE HAS TO APPLY ACCORDINGLY AND CAN CHANGE HIS /HER APPLICATION ANY TIME.
I KNOW A FEW PROFESSIONLAS .THEY LEND PROFEESIONAL EXPERTISE .BUT WONT SIGN THE REPORTS OR CERTIFICATES, WHICH IS DONE BY FULL TIME HOLDERS OF CERTIFICATE OF PRACTICE ( C.P.) WITH WHOM THEY MAY BE SHARING REMUNERATIONS AS PER MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING.
EVEN THE PROFESSIONLAS REPLYING TO QUERIES IN THIS FORUM INCLUDING ME ARE DOING A PART TIME SERVICE BELIEVING TO BE OF HELP TO THE NEEDY.BUT HERE IN THIS CASE , PROFESSIONAL ETHICS OR STANDARDS MAY NOT CLASH.
