business loss or unabsorbed depriciation

This query is : Resolved

22 November 2010 A public ltd. co. has dep of Rs. 50 Lacs in the current year and profit before dep. is Rs. 10 Lacs. Net loss comes to Rs. 40 Lacs.
My query is whether this loss (Rs. 40 Lacs)is business loss or unabsorbed dep.
According to me, it should be unabsorbed dep.
Please clarify.

Furhter the co. wants to show the co. in profit due to bank loans. Is it possible if dep. is not claimed?
Or any other alternative is there to show the co. in profit...
Please reply as it is very urgent.
Thanx

22 November 2010 Answar for your first query is unabsorved depreciation.
