sir, i hv submitted my ipcc registeration form under direct entry on 22 june2014 and thry said that it takes minimum 1 mnth to sent registeration number. so in that case how can i start my 9 mnth article before 1 august to appear in may 15 exams. olease help

I am a salaried person. My employer has already deducted Rs. 6000/- as Income tax for FY 2013-2014. Now I need to pay remaining tax of Rs. 440/- [Income Tax 428 + Education Cess 12] on FD interest for FY 2013-2014. I have not filed ITR yet. Can I pay this tax now as self assessment Tax? Do I need to pay any interest penalty u/s 234A, 234B and 234C?
What will be the due date to pay this tax.

what are the conditions to be satisfied for a contract to be treated as a works contract?
also how is service tax , tds and vat applicable on the same?

My client under KVAT had paid VAT of Rs.4500 when Intelligence Authorities visited shop. also compounding penalty of Rs.3000 paid. Now the case has been selected by the Audit wing of VAT authorities and proposing to levy penalty to the extent of upto 5 times of Rs.4500. kindly advice whether this is justice and legally holds good. I heard there is case in Karnataka High court : Burmaiah vs. Karnataka Govt. Kindly let me know.

There are approx 500-600 CA Final, IPCC and CPT students belongs to Singrauli and nearby districts of M.P (Sidhi, Rewa)& U.P (Sonebhadra) but there is no exam center in the City and nearest exam centers are Varanasi (250 kms - 10 hrs journey by bus)or Jabalpur (350 kms - min 8 hrs by train), so the students of Singrauli City want there must be a exam center at Singrauli.
