I want to know whether there is any rule that after taking articleship transfer from one firm, I have to get re-registered with new firm within 30 days of date of transfer from the previous firm. If not, then whether there is any such time limit within which I have to get re-registered in a new firm for articleship.
Please reply at your earliest.

I had cleared my CA Intermediate exams in May 1997 under the old syllabus. Now i want to sit for the finals.Please tell me whether i need to register again for the finals. My other queries are:
1.What are the subjects i need to clear off for the Finals.
2.Are there any exemptions available for Cost Accountants?
3.Can i see the present status of my registration online?
4.If not whom to contact for the same via mail?
5.I am working abroad in Dubai in a multinational Oil Co. Shall i need to re register myself as an overseas student to appear for the exams from Dubai?
6.Is ICAI going to give seperate certifications for inter passed students like certified tecnicians?

1) I had perused the new Training Guide on the Institute website which was posted on 12/06/2007. In the same it was given that the Entitlement of Leave is 1/6th of Actual Period served instead of the earlier 1/7th pf Actual period served. We have a group of articled clerks who had joined our firm in November 2004 and who are continuing in our firm as articles currently. Please clarify whether the new training guide will be applicable to them also, with regard to the Entitlement of Leave based on actual period served, i.e. whether Leave entitlement is 1/7th or 1/6th of actual period served?

2) In calcluating the Total Leave taken(other than weekly holidays), are intervening sundays and national holidays, arising during the period of leave, included in the same?

I cleared CPT in May 2007 and i regesterd for PCC in the month of june I wanted to know if i clear my PCC exams in the first attempt, will i be elegible to write my final exams in november 2010. My duration of articled training gets over in december 2010 so tell me whether i can appear in nov exams or i should wait till May 2011.
