Can some one tell me when is result of CPT Nov. 2007? Help me. Please...

I have given my final exams in November 2007 an my training is due to be completed on 1st August 2008. Now I am left with 8 months of training period. How can I resolve this problem. Can I take a break of 1 months, i.e. terminate my articleship and join industrial training from 1st December. Or should I take extension of my training.

Also please suggest me good openings in Ahmedabad/Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore.

I started my articeship in Aug 2006. Iam not clear about the chance in which i will be eligible to apply for final exam. Iam doing final in old scheme. When will be my first for CA final? Is it Nov 2008 after 2 years OR in May 2009 after 2 and half years? please clarify since institute has issued so many confusing notifications in this regard.

I've got my Final CA exam in May '08..hav strtd wid studies from the study modules provided by the ICAI... but i require the names of authors whose books' reference for the following subjects would prove to be helpful:
1. Indirect Tax
2. Direct Tax
3. Audit

I am preparing for CA Final. Pls. help in solving the undermentioned MAFA questions.

1. XYZ, a chain of restaurants, is considering going private.The Company believes that with elimination of the costs associated with public ownership, the company colud save Rs. 800000/- p.a.before taxes.In addition company believes that Annual profits are expected to be 10% greater than present after tax profits of Rs. 9 mio.Effective tax rate is 30%, the PE ratio is 12 and 10 million shares are outstanding. What is the present market price per share? what is the maximum premium above above this price that the company could pay in order to take the company private?
