Followings are my queries ;
Transfer query - My articleship is ending on 31st october 2008. Suppose I take the transfer on 5th may 2008 i.e served my Principal CA ( let Mr. A) till 5th may and register my articleship with another CA (let Mr.B ) on 6th may 2008.
In this case ,
Q.1 Will my articleship will extend for another one day and will end on 1st nov'08 ?
Q.2. If yes, then does it mean that my attempt of Nov'07 exams will get void as my articleship is not ending within last 12 months of the exams ?
Q.3. Can I get myself register with the another CA (Mr. B ) on the same day i.e 5th may in the above example on which I take the transfer from my first CA (Mr. A )?

Secondment query - Although the information for secondment has been provided on the institute website but there is a disparity between the information provided
1.Guide on training provides the form -106 which has to be submitted in case of secondment.
2.Forms for students has a form under regulation 54 which has to be submitted in case of secondment.
3. Short article on secondment states that no form has to be submitted with the institute.

My problems are
Q.1. Which forms/documents are required to be filled and submitted to institute by an article or first CA or another CA ?
Q.2 Which forms/ documents are required to be filled among the CA's only?
Q.3 Can the secondment CA make the direct payment to the article ?
Q.4. If not, then in that case the secondment CA will make the payment to the Principal CA ?
Q.5. Under what head this payment will be made to the principal CA and what will be the nature of the payment received for the taxation purposes ?

PCC November 2008 Exam Eligibility

I had passed CPT exam in November 2006 securing 18th rank.

I have also completed the 100 hours ITT course by passing the test conducted
on 24/06/07.

I would like to know whether the eligibility requirement for PCC Exam
is 15 months of articleship, 3 months prior to the exams OR 18 months
of articleship.

This is important for me as I would be completing my 15 months of
articleship in the first week of May 2008. After that I intend to take
a break and NOT leave from articleship for about 11 months for the PCC
exam in November 2008 and for the T.Y.B.Com University exams in
March-April 2009. Consequently I would resume my articleship for the
balance period of 27 months.
I have not come across any regulation stating that we cannot take a break or have to be on leave for studying and appearing the PCC exams.

Please reply to my query as soon as possible.

My friends and my seniors at the firm tell me that one should study Coaching material/ Reference books more but with few reference to the ICAI module. Even an old CA had told the text material in the module is more than the syllabus prescribed (many extra things are given; which has nearly 100pc chance of not being given in exams).

Take my coaching’s case in Business Ethics. In the sub-chapter “ Corporate Governance”; the material given to us by coaching had the condensed form of the chapter of the module. In module there was
a)History of evolution of C. governance in abroad and India
b) Case study of C.G. Stucture in ITC (company)

But in our material; the history part was totally missing. Does that mean we don’t have to memorise(one memorises history usually; not understand them) the history of C.G.?

Similarly, does this same thing stand for other subjects as well?

P.s. A CA student told me that “ a PCC/final examinee succeeds due to his ability to grasp the syllabus in the last six months: that’s why students prefer Coaching materials wisely!”

Articleship in PCC

Hello sir

I had joined PE II on graduation basis (B.Com). I understand that MAY 08 is the last PE II exam. I would like to know whether a PE II student who is not able to clear PEII in MAY 08, has the option to commence his articleship immidiately after registering under new scheme PCC ?

PS:This not from the examination point of view. Even PE II students can write the PCC Exams without completion of 18 months of articleship provided he has registered for the same. I just want to start my articleship as soon as possible. Otherwise this CA course will stretch like a rubber band.. .Please give actual details.
