Please let me know when am I eligible to appear in FINAL EXAMINATIONS ?

Some one informed me that PCC students are eligible to appear in final exams "1 YEAR BEFORE COMPLETION OF ARTICLES". Is it true ?

I HAVE PASSED IN GROUP 1 OF PCC IN MAY 2009. BUT FAILED IN GROUP 2 IN NOVEMBER 2009. NOW I AM AGAIN APPEARING IN GROUP 2 IN MAY 2010.
