What is the difference between 12% Redeemable preference shares and 9% Redeemable preference shares. What is the meaning of that percentage before redeemable preference shares?

Dear Sir, In my CA final result for may 2015 I had an exemption in paper 5 - costing of group 2 which was applicable latest till nov 2016 attempt. In my current result nov 2016, I got an exemption in paper 8 - indirect tax. Looking at this scenario I would like you to suggest me wether I would be able to carry forward this exemption or not. I will appear for Ca final Group 1 may 17 exams. I want to buy latest edition of practice manual for subject audit and law. Right now latest edition is jan 16. I was told by one of my friend that institute may print new edition of jan 17 pm. So i just want to ask that whether should i wait for latest edition or i should buy 2016 edition? Please help me out
