if distributor covered under service tax act then under which service he is covered?
and distributor is covered then service tax is levied on his gross receipts or on his commision receipts
I am an Individual. I provide my property on Rent. The Rent Income is above Rs.10,00,000. Am I required to register for Service Tax and file the return.

In my Company we have Hired Light commercial vehicles for the USE of Company Only (No Personal Use) , the vehicle Owner Bill is with Service Tax , now as per new Notification we cannot avail cenvat for the same ? is it applicable?

One of my Client (Company) is using the services of contractors (Civil, Mech., Etc..) for setting up of factory which is under construction.
1. Whether can it eligible for cenvat credit on service tax paid on construction services.
2. After budget i.e 1.4.2011 onwards, cenvat on service tax paid related to construction activities are ineligible, So on what services it is ineligible?
3. If service provider provides services in relation to excavation, back filling, etc. which is not construction services, can we take cenvat credit on this services.
4. If contractor raise only one bill for different services, can we take cenvat on eligible services.
plz clarify its urgent........

one of our client provides service of transporting employees of the company from and to their office to residence.
for this company is charging for petrol,toll charges,drivers salary, maintenance, service charges.
on what amount should he pay service tax if he shows all above items seperately in the invoice and if he does not show it seperately in the invoice.

Kindly revert me which rate of Interest(13% or 18%)would be applicable for making the service tax payment related to last year (i.e. due on 05/01/2011), but to be paid today.

A company filed nil return for period OCT 2010 to MARCH 2011 on 25 April 2011 although it has amount collect from customer on which service tax is payable. this mistake is happened because they were unware that service tax is payble on real estate with the effect from July 2010. Now company want to pay service tax of that period, what it should do, as it has already filled nil return for that period and period of revised return (90 Days) is over.
is company requried to pay service tax although no flat is sold as yet, only advance amount is received?

1) My sister has purchased a flat on 15-05-2009. It’s still under construction. Builder told us that possession will be given on 15-03-2011. she have purchased this flat for Rs.1100000/- And she made payment of Rs.1000000/- before 30-06-2010. Builder said 45% construction completed as on 30-06-2010. Builder is asking for service tax of Rs.15000/- plus interest Rs.2000/-. We don’t know whether it is correct or not. I am requesting you to please help me in this regards.
2) I have purchased a flat on 28-05-2010. It’s also under construction. 90% construction completed as on 28-05-2010. Builder told us that possession will be given on 31-08-2011. We have purchased this flat for Rs.4000000/- And we have made payment of Rs.1300000/- before 30-06-2010. And Rs.2000000/- after 01-07-2010. Builder told us that we have to pay service tax on 2700000/- @2.58%. I don’t know the provision.
Please help me in this regards.
