I request you to please solve a great dilemma that I am in.

This post is for my younger brother who has been trying for CA for past 3-4 years. After class XII, he enrolled for BComm correspondence from Delhi Univ and started pursuing CA as he really wanted to do so. He cleared the foundation exam (CPT), and got article-ship into a CA firm where he did lot of on-site audits and was appreciated for his work.

The problem is that he has not been able to clear his Level 1 (PE1) exams even in 5-6 attempts. Sometimes he misses by just a margin. He has always been average when it came to theory subjects but always good with numbers and hands-on-practical stuff. He grasped audit work really fast and did well. He can put in hard work. But probably studying so much theory is not his cup of tea.

What should he do? Should he still keep trying for CA? He is going to be 23 now and with just a correspondence bachelor's degree. Although he was very interested in becoming a CA, I am worried he might be loosing out on precious years. Given his interest in finance, accounts and numbers, is there any other course related to finance/accounts that he should go for which would ensure a promising career?
