queries regarding CA course

I have just given my ca cpt exam and i have lots of question in my mind regarding further ca course like should i do ca with regular college? should i give both ipcc groups together? or should i play safe ? And from where i can take coaching and generally when classes for ipcc starts? Please help me regarding all these matters. Thank you

Under the below mentioned profiles i.e. Legal administrative assistants, OR Administrative assistants ,OR Executive assistants which suits more to a qualified company secretary. It should match 60-70% atleast to the job profile of company secretary.

1) Legal administrative assistants:

Legal administrative assistants perform a variety of secretarial and administrative duties in law offices, legal departments of large firms, real estate companies, land title offices, municipal, provincial and federal courts and government.

Main duties

Legal administrative assistants perform some or all of the following duties:

i) Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents, such as deeds, wills, affidavits and briefs, from handwritten copy, shorthand and machine dictation using computers
ii) Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage
iiii) Schedule appointments, meetings and conferences for employer
iv) Set up and maintain filing systems, utilizing knowledge of legal records and procedures and frequently controlling confidential materials and documents
v) Open and distribute regular and electronic incoming mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments or organizations
vi) Determine and establish office procedures and routines
vii) May supervise and train other staff in procedures and in the use of current software
viii) May attend court, meetings or conferences to take notes, minutes and dictation
ix) May perform other general office work as required including preparing financial statements.

OR

2) Administrative assistants

Administrative assistants perform a variety of administrative duties in support of managerial and professional employers. They are employed throughout the private and public sectors.

Main duties

Administrative assistants perform some or all of the following duties:
i) Prepare, key in, edit and proofread correspondence, invoices, presentations, brochures, publications, reports and related material from machine dictation and handwritten copy
ii) Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations
iii) Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer
iv) Order office supplies and maintain inventory
v) Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages
vi) Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
vii) Determine and establish office procedures
viii) Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person
ix) Record and prepare minutes of meetings
x) Arrange travel schedules and make reservations
xi) May compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities
xii)May supervise an d train office staff in procedures and in use of currnt software.

OR

3) Executive assistants

Executive assistants co-ordinate administrative procedures, public relations activities and research and analysis functions for members of legislative assemblies, ministers, deputy ministers, corporate officials and executives, committees and boards of directors. They are employed by governments, corporations and associations.

Main duties

Executive assistants perform some or all of the following duties:

i) Establish and co-ordinate administrative policies and procedures for officials, committees and boards of directors
ii) Analyze incoming and outgoing memoranda, submissions and reports and prepare and co-ordinate the preparation and submission of summary briefs and reports to executives, committees and boards of directors
iii) Prepare agendas and make arrangements for committee, board and other meetings
iv) Conduct research, compile data, and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees and boards of directors
v) Meet with individuals, special interest groups and others on behalf of executives, committees and boards of directors to discuss issues and assess and recommend various courses of action
vi) Liaise with departmental and corporate officials and with other organizations and associations on behalf of executives, committees and boards of directors.

Acca diploma in ifrs

Hi everyone,
I am a recently qualified CA. I want to purse ACCA Diploma in IFRS.
I have certain doubts. Please provide guidance for the following doubts:-
1. Can I do self study for this course or is it compulsory to take up tutions. Also is the course manageable through self study ?
2. I tried registering in ACCA website howerver, it asked for the payment details which i did not fill at that time, so will I be registered only after payment of fees.

Regarding choice of field

dear sir/madom,

i am Abhishek tather, & has passout CA in may 2016,Currently i am working With Hindustan teleprinters limited as Managment Trainee , i am looking & learing here accounts,& taxation .but i am not getting satisfaction. i want to choose a field for my carreer. so which field is suitable for me.i have interest in Finance.

i wish to analyse some options & want to choose best among them . suggest me some options ,which is best for my career.

My articleship has completed in 2011. Cleared IPCC in Nov.,2016 attempt.
In between years I was at home. I will continue studies for CA final. At the same time I want to get good practical experience, knowledge & income.
