i am govindarajan and very new to import sandisk memory cards from china. many companies gave their quotation and mode of payment.mode of shipping also through dhl.
what will be the customs charges and what i have to do to clear the customs. i want to import through air only.the items will be only with small box containing 200 pieces. what are the formalities and whether i have decided to import for 150 us dollars only.

so we r paying 20% of custom duty tax so is their any option to get the amt return

Greetings members , I have a query for journal entry on provison for landfil site ie the previous year provisions (Balance sheet) was R28 million and the current year is R23 million ,

So what entry to process , do we debit provision by R5 million(Reduce the provision R28 prior year - R23 million current year) and where the other leg (credit) must go?

Kindly suggest the entire procedure that has to be followed
Which all linences are supposed to be applied for eg VAT, Excise and Ghumasta etc

Also if he intends to re export it after some manufacturing then wat is the procedure

is any system available for shipping bill knock down against DBK.

We are submitting half yearly bank certified statement to portwise customs.

We are registered as EOU at Kandla Kasez zone and have permission for manufacturing and warehousing u/s 58 & 65 of customs's act.

now we want to expand our warehousing and manufacturing area in same premises.

Please let us know the procedure to be followed for permission for such expansion at custom and excise?

I have alredy gone through the link.The link also does not give complete answer to the query.Because the link say CIF vaue means CIF price paid or payable to the Exporter....... the price inludes Freight and Insurance cost which means the expert belives that Import is always done by CIF value it not correct,import is also done on Ex works price,FOB (Free On Board) Price,C&F ( Cost and Freight) price.The Expert does not say how to calculate assessable if expoert is on EX work,FOB or on C&F basis The Expert also does not say how to calculate assessable if the import is on Ex work,FOB or C&F and the importer does not submit proof of Freight paid or payable and Insurance charge.

As an expert he must give complete reply.
