In a Cellphone manufacturing company there are more than 100 persons working, professional tax has been registered for only 18 persons, no PF & ESI registration done till yet? What are the consequences? What steps do we need to take?

In a Cellphone manufacturing company (China Mobiles)based in India, Mobile Chargers are prepared by Labourers in India. Do we need to deduct any professional tax for them or any TDS? In the Financial year 2009-10 total expenses on Labourers is Rs. 56 Lacs. Please suggest?

Generally a Private Limited company gets its registration certificate and commencement of business certificate at the time of its incorporation.
Suppose if a pvt. ltd company formed on Jan. 2010 and still it is not started its business, then statutory audit fee for the financial year 2009-2010 can becomes part of the pre-operative expenses or not?

If no then what will be right accounting treatment for the same as per GAAP?

Please tell important SA for pcc Examination.

i am doing internal audit of a client. it is observed that booking of expeses is not done and expenses are booked only at the time of payment.
E.g. telephone exp. ---dr 12000
to bank---12000
instead of passing foll. entry
tele exp------12000
to exp payable----12000

exp payable----12000
to bank----12000


what for miscellaneous expenses like local conveyance exp of rs.10, tel exp rs.5 etc.
