Dear Sir,
we(buyer) have returned the some excisable goods ( due to excess qty) to the manufacturer, who has already paid the excise duty at the time when goods were sold to us.
Now while returning the goods, the manufacturer is asking us to issue excise invoice to them, while we fall under SSI limit.
Is this excise invoice required to issue, while we fall under SSI?
If we issue excise invoice, we have to pay excise duty on the same, but as being SSI we are not taking Cenvat Credit?
Pls guide me how to handle this situation, so that there shall be no liability on us to pay excise duty while returning the goods?

Dear experts,
Suppose a person manufactures shirts by purchasing fabric and he also carries out the activity of branding and labelling in relation to shirts so manufactured by him with in the same factory. So his first activity is manufacture in normal meaning but whether his activity of branding & labelling will amount to manufacture under 2(f)(i) or 2(f)(ii) if there is section/chapter note in this regard and how will excise duty be determined in such case?
pls reply asap.

when finance bill is introduced in parliament , then if there is any increase in rate of excise, then it will be in effect from next day.
My question is that if later i.e on passing the finance bill if increase in excise rate is come to withdraw, then excise duty collected at provisional basis due to Provisional Collection of taxes act, 1931 will be refunded or not?
what is provision there?

Dear Experts, Please give a suitable solution.
An Excise registered manufacturer (1) wants to export goods from the premise of another manufacturer(2)as merchant exporter (Gen. Bond & CT-1 method is prescribed). Presently he(1)is not having any bond / UT-1 executed but the manufacturer(2)is having UT-1 executed. The realisation will be received in Indian currency from (1) therefore(2) can't make direct ARE-1. What is the quickest way that export will happen?
