10 August 2009 One of my friend is working in private limited company. Company has policy to pay bonus on diwali. For cost cutting company is forcing to give voluntary resignation. Company is telling that person who is on payroll on diwali will be eligible to get bonus.

Is my friend is eligible to get bonus proportionately for the time he has worked with the company as per bonus act?

Please advice.
