plesae tell me is there any basic exemptionin service tax as in Income tax.
that is value of taxable service on which no service tax is payable give me the reference of the statury provision if any

Yes there is a threshold limit of Rs. 10 lakhs. For details refer Notification no 8/2008 dated 01/03/2008.
