automatic conversion from old course to new course?

07 December 2010 Do we have to apply to institute for transfer from old course to new course or it will be automatic since nov 10 was last exams under old course for ca final.
What is the procedure for conversion from old course to new course?
do we need to send the DD 1100 in order 2 institute or else will it be automatic?????
please help
