Can anyone please let me know what naming conventions are normally followed by big organizations / MNCs while numbering the Fixed Assets?
Kindly explain with an example.

If iam not wrong, the answer to ur query is:
It depends on organisation to organization.
They may follow hierarchical model, departmental model,etc.,
Hierarchical model:
1) For manager's computer: - ManCom1
2) For Supervisor's computer: - SuperCom1

In professionally managed companies the asset numbering will be something like this (It will have many letters separated by slashs) something like this:
LKYTT/SKOR/ETOS/JPY/FA102
They definitely follow some convention and am keen to know how it is done. I think it is not as simple as you have mentioned.
I request other learned members to kindly let me know their views.
