Articleship leave period- urgent-interpretation

This query is : Resolved

29 November 2011 Dear sir
""For the purpose of this regulation( 59 leave to articles ), the days
(including intervening holidays) on which an articled assistant
appears for any examination under these Regulations or attends
a course of academy of accounting conducted by the Institute
and recognised by the Council in this behalf, shall not be treated
as leave but would be treated as period actually served under
articles""
intervening holidays means holidays during the period of leave prior to exam or days of exam?????

Pls. provide me on urgent basis

Thanking you

29 November 2011 Intervening days strictly means holidays DURING THE EXAMS. It does not mean holidays during the exam leaves.

The words used are days on which the articled assistant APPEARS FOR ANY EXAMINATION.

You are not appearing for the examinations during the preparation leave period

Holidays and Sundays during the preparation leave shall be counted as leaves
