16 May 2012 I am a CA Final student and i have to complete 3.5 years of articleship tenure. My exact winding up date falls on july 23rd 2012. But in the meantime I have taken 193 days of leave for examination purposes and allied matters. Please experts help me on this that how many days I have to work extra to complete my articleship. Is there any mandatory requirement to to consider 1/6th concept?

17 May 2012 Your leaves are in excess of the allowed leaves.

Calculate as under:

1. Compute the total period served in days.
2. Reduce the leaves actually availed.
3. Divide the balance by 6. This will be your eligibility.
4. The difference between eligible leaves and availed leaves will be excess leaves.
5. You will have to serve this period of excess leaves.

Approximate excess leaves come to 13.

17 May 2012 So a student wont get 180 days leave during his articleship period? Siddharta Bhardwaj Sir have taken that. Sir I will my exact figures as below

No. of days actually worked:- 801 days

No. of days leave taken :- 193 days
