Dear Sir / Madam,
If any person has filed ITR 1 after filing it comes to his knowledge that he was to file ITR 2 with more information. Then what should he do?

u cannot revise because u have filed a wrong itr itself so as if no correct was selected.
rectification is of wrong disclosure of any data ir info.

I already filed ITR 1 & if i will file a new ITR 2 then how it comes to AO which ITR is to be processed?

if u have already filed then first send then dont send the itr-v of itr-1 to cpc and file itr-2 and send itr-v to cpc then first itr u files wil not be counted.

now the only way it to file itr-2 and send it to cpc and then meet your jurisdictional ao and ask him now what u should do in this case.

You have not clarified -whether the return was e-filed or m-filed.

Income Tax-Department has a very good data management system. On e-filing website every thing is available. Similarly m-filed data are also managed electronically.
You can say income tax department is having Powerful Accounting System for managing the relevant return filing data.

Returns are managed on the basis of PAN of the assessee. A stands for "Account". AO is though not Accounts officer still he refers Permanent Account Number.

Paras Sir, I have already sent itr v for ITR1 electronically & revised it through ITR2 electronically & ITR-v of same is in hand.
