29 May 2025 One of my client is liable for tax audit For FY 2025-26 they have only 2 employees both of them have a salary of Rs 600000 p.a. each therefore no tax after rebate u/s 87A in new regime and no liablity to deduct tds. Are they still liable to file form 24q?

29 May 2025 For the fourth quarter, you are required to file Form 24Q to report the total salary paid during the year, even if no TDS was deducted. This is because Annexure II (which details annual salary and deductions for each employee) is required to be submitted in Q4, and some authorities expect this reporting for issue of form 16 to employees.
