Advance tax paid by salaried employee

This query is : Resolved

20 March 2010 if a salaried employee with no other source of income fills up advance tax because of the advertisements in the paper.

his tds is to be deducted by the company which will make him pay twice the money.

since tds is the liability of the company and as advance tax has been paid by the employee himself , can somehting be done so as to avoid the company from cutting tds from the employees salary on account of advance tax paid to nsdl.

please advise.

20 March 2010 IF YOU PROVIDE THE DETAILS OF ADVANCE TAX PAID AND SUBMIT FORM 12B THEN EMPLOYER WILL DEDUCT TDS ACCORDINGLY.

FURTHER IF YOU ARE A SALARIED EPLOYEE WITH NO OTHER SOURCE OF INCOME, I CANT UNDERSTAND WHY ON EARTH ARE YOU PAYING ADVANCE TAX. TAX LIABILITY IF ANY WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR SALARY BY YOUR EMPLOYER.

20 March 2010 12b is to be given by january end also how the company shows in their accounts
and also in the e tds q4 return that they file
as it is solely the employers liability

20 March 2010 IN THE LAST QUARTER THEY WILL DEDUCT THE FINAL TDS AS PER CALCULATION.
