Statutory Auditors report to the Government on the financial statements of Public Sector Undertakings - PSU's; Listed Public Limited Companies; Deemed Public Limited Companies and Private Limited Companies as specified in the Companies Act, 1956.
Statutory Auditors are also appointed by Co-operative Societies, Public Charitable & Religious Trusts, Association of Persons - AOP's like Sports Clubs and Associations to audit their annual accounts.
