80 d tax deduction

10 January 2012 Dear Sir,

I would like to know whether employees can show medical bills against 80 D tax deduction. They do not have a medi-claim policy. In the salary structure medical allowance component is given.

The un-reimbursed medical bills amount which they can claim in the subsequent financial year.
