23 March 2011 I am doing press advertising agency business i.e just providing space in new paper like Times of INDIA,Indian Express for display advertise. My total turnover for F. Y 2009-2010 is above Rs.10 Lakhs. Pls guide me whether i have to audit the books of accounts from CA.And in filing return ITR 4 I have to show in column that books not maintained.Pls guide

23 March 2011 Advertising agency comes under the term 'business'. Therefore, if the turnover exceeds Rs. 40/- lacs tax audit is mandatory in F.Y 2009-10.
