24 July 2017 Interest certificate issued by SBI shows two distinct figure interest paid and int. accrual. However 26 AS form do not have such distinct columns and figure shown includes interest up to 31/3 even when it is not Paid.

If I choose option of using only paid basis for filing my ITR. There is a mismatch between Interest shown in my ITR and in AS26.

What should I do?

24 July 2017 You can file as per 26AS. but, one more doubt is this FD...

25 July 2017 Show interest as per your 26AS....

25 July 2017 Thanks both of you. That mans option of chosing between paid / accrural is no more left to us and we have to go by AS26.
Mr Raja PM what doubt you have about this FD ? you have not completed the sentence.
This FD matured on April 5th, and the interest paid on April 5th. however baring 5 days interest remaining interest accrued in FY 16-17. Which is shown by sbi in 26AS and TDS deducted on it. I can differ my tax liability to FY 17-18 in which year the interest was Paid. but in that case there is mismatch between Interest declared by me in ITR and in 26AS.

25 July 2017 No you can't do so........
