Sir, can anyone tell me how to determine "local limit" for the purpose of change in registered office.

Sifting of Registered Office Outside the Local Limits (section 146(2)(a):

Local Limit in the aforesaid section of the Act should be taken to mean both the local body limits and postal limits and where the two do not coincide, the wider of two.

Please read Circular No. 19/1972, dated 26-6-1972.
