Dear Sir,
While paying S.A.Tax of Income Tax and F.B.T for the A.Y.2009-10 the PAN of the FIRM was wrongly quoted in the tax payment challans of both Income Tax & F.B.T. Will i get the credit for the same and what is the procedure to rectify the same?

LT IS A CURIOUS CASE. IF NAME OF FIRM GIVEN IN CHALLAN DOES NOY MATCH WITH TAN BANK USUALLY DONT ACCEPT THE PAYMENT. BUT IF IT HAS HAPPEND YOU HAVE TO GET IT RECTIFIED OTHERWISE YOU WONT GET THE CREDIT OF TAX PAID BY YOU. THERE YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATELY CONTACT YOUR ASSESSING OFFICER WITH RELEVANT DETAILS.
