Wrong name in income tax data base

My name is Gautam Pal. However in Income tax data base it is shown as Gautam Gautam Pal. In PAN Card it is Gautam Pal. Due to this I am unable to link my Adhar Card because in Adhar Card the Name is Gautam Pal. How to correct the name in income tax data base? Pls help.

apply for the correction in PAN through form 49A and mention the correct name

While applying for PAN card there may name wrongly mentioned twice name may be repeated, same will be appearing in data base, you need to apply for PAN correction of Name,
