05 July 2010 OUr client has entered an agreeement for Amc of their Computers (through Residentail Engineers), last month the service provider charged Service Tax @ 10.3% on total bill value, where as this month they have charged 30:70, 30% of bill value they are charging service Tax and again on total value of the bill value they have charged WCT @ 2.8%, can you pls confirm , is there any change in WCT , and from which date.

05 July 2010 My view, they opted for abatement under service tax and WCT under VAT.WCT rates are based on respective VAT act.Normally 2% to 6 % state to state vary
