What is the meaning of Whole Time Company Secretary as per the companies act 1956. Whether the said whole time secretary is required to be on the payroll(employee) of a company having paid up capital in excess of rs.5 crores

Yes, it will be appointed as whole time company secretary at a remuneration decided by Board. and if such employee get remuneration more than 5 lakh a month then it is required to be disclosed in director report under section 217(2A) of the Companies Act, 1956.
