15 August 2016 The major difference is that CST is applicabe on inter state sales and VAT is on intra state sales.
There are other differences also.

CST is a inter state tax where aa Vat is intra state tax but what exactly u want to know?

It's not only the difference of collection, there are difference in tax credit, in rates etc
