Dear Experts,
Rs.70,000/- was deducted from my freind VRS benefits forwards Income Tax in the year-2001.Form-16 still not issued by Employer(HMT)
Kindly advice to me how to claim back from employer/ITO.

There is no provision in the act to claim TDS in terms of money from the employer once it is deducted and remitted to the Government.
If the employer is not giving Form 16 file a writ before the jurisdictional high court.
