VAT ON CST PURCHASE IN HARYANA

we have purchase TMT steel in Haryana from delhi Agianst C form for contruction a houses for our client. shall we liable to pay Hatyana VAT on this purchase.

It will be CST payable not Haryana VAT.Against 'C' forms it will be 2%. only.

we have purchased the TMT steel against C Form for the construction of housing projects for our client not for our own use even than loacal HaryanaVAT is apliacble or not.

It means you are a builder,developer or a contractor.First you are buying steel from Haryana i.e. another State for use in the works contract of building a housing project for your clients.You always buy goods for executing works of your clients.Here what is important is whether such purchases are local or interstate.As the steel rods are crossing Haryana border after sale to come to Delhi,it becomes an interstate sale.In such a sale only CST is leviable and not local Haryana VAT. This rate is 2% aginst 'C' form.
