My query is i have not Claimed/Adjusted input VAT in the year of 2007-08, can i claim for refund or Adjust that credit now..
please help me friends.

11 February 2013 In case assessment is pending, you can send revised return with a letter to CTO to condone the delay for revision.
In case assessment already over, you may need to file appeal before appellate authority. Please consult your tax consultant or a good sales tax practitioner in your city.

in Service Tax there is no time limit for availing and Utilising CENVAT credit, is there is any such provision is VAT also (Karnataka VAT)

14 February 2013 As to Karnataka VAT, there are no provision to revise the returns online though there are no specific restricts provided under the law.

I would suggest that you can make application for refund with your local office giving him the detailed working of the same and supporting purchase registers. It may require some followups but you should be able to obtain the refund.
