16 August 2011 Dear Experts,

Am i Suppose to file VAT 240 with the VAT Dept if my Taxable Sales @ 13.5% is Rs.3,50,000/- and my exempt sales is Rs.4,35,00,000/-. Please reply at the earliest.

It is on the total turnover i.e.say Rs 50 laks the filing of Form240 is made mandatory,not on the taxable turnover. therefore you have to file Form 240.
