Validity of exemption

one my friend has secured exemption in CA final first group exams held in may 2015 but he did not appear for exams held in Nov 2015. He is appearing for both groups in may 2016. please clarify me whether he is eligible for exemption or not.

Yes exemption secured in any exam is valid for next three exam attempts,
so even though he has not appeared in NOV2015 exam exemption stays valid for MAY2016 ,NOV2016
so even though he has not appeared in NOV2015 exam exemption stays valid for MAY2016 ,NOV2016
