### When can you upload data on GST portal?
* You can start uploading data (like returns, invoices) from the **GST migration effective date**, which is usually **1st July 2017** (or the date mentioned in your provisional certificate).
* Some taxpayers got the provisional GSTIN and migrated records early but the portal was made live for filing only from July 1, 2017.
* Check the **Effective Date of Migration** mentioned on your provisional registration certificate or in the GST portal dashboard.
