Sir, I have taken ULIP plan of HDFC Bank & paying premium Rs 30000/-p.a with sum assured Rs 210000/-. As per my knowledge the sum assured should be at least 3 Lacs . Kindly advise whether I should get the tax benefit or not ?

You are correct. To be eligible for tax deduction, annual premium should not be more than 10% of the sum assured.
