Transfer of PF account

Kindly advise me regarding the procedure to transfer the PF account.
Does the procedure differ is employer is not within the same state? (in my case PF a/c is supposed to be transfered from Delhi to Ahmedabad)
Is there any rule, that the same account could not be transfered before completion of 2 years?

Same procedure for transfer : form 13 with Form 3A for the current period.
There is no such rule that the same account can not be transferred before 2 years.

Suppose you leave the job in June, 2011 & want to transfer your PF account to your current account...anytime during July,11 to March,12... then you are required to submit Form 3A for (March,11 to June,2011) from your old employer.
Suppose, in the same above scenario, you decide to proceed the transfer process after April,2012....say June,2012, then you are not required to attach form 3A as the same must have been filed with the PF deptt till April,2012 alongwith their annual PF return for 2011-12.
