Transfer of balance credit to new premises

10 July 2012 Dear Sir,

I Have cenvat credit balance in my excise a/c as i had done export billing through my coustmer under CT-1 tran.
Now i need to shift my manufacturing premises to some other location so pls guide me how can my balance credit can be transfered to my new premises reg.

11 July 2012 As per Rule 10 of the Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004 if a manufacturer of the final products shifts his factory to another site then, the Cenvat credit lying un-utilized is allowed to transfer the same to transferred place. Simply you have to intimate to the Jurisdictional AC/DC with a copy to jurisdictional Range Superintendent.
