06 July 2013 I am in my first year of articleship seeking transfer on medical grounds, but my principal refused it and we had a spat over it.Now he is demanding money from me to give me transfer.Institute is saying that complaining against principal may ruin my future. and i dont have money to pay him up. what can i do????? please help

06 July 2013 It was very BAD to hear this..

CA demands A BRIBE to give transfer to article student...

1)convince him to give transfer and you can take transfer with out prior approval of icai as you are in 1st year of articleship

2)convince him that you cannot pay to him

3)Yes,,Institute people said it practically But it is a shame to say like that..They only knows very well about harasses of some of bosses but we should provide some proofs to prove that..

try to convince him,,or ask somebody to help in this regard from nearest ICAI branch by taking it personally if possible..

07 July 2013 First of all; write a letter to the employer by a registered post seeking transfer and stating your status that I am forced to write this and if no action is taken on your part; the matter will be taken over to the Disciplinary Committee, ICAI

07 July 2013 If you are getting regular stipend; then also it is a proof that you are serving.

If he is not paying; he is in fault.
