I have eletronically downloaded a software from a software company for official use for one year period.

Now under which section of Income Tax should i book the TDS????

05 March 2010 but i have an agreement with the company for one year so cant this be treated as a lease and deduct TDS u/s 194I????

05 March 2010 Yes. It can be but you will have to book exp. as Lease Rent on SW.
