Tds on sale of immovable property

This query is : Resolved

16 August 2017 Dear Experts,

We are buying property from 3 sellers , out of those 2 are NRI & one resident. My query is i should deduct 20.6% by taking TAN no. for both NRI's and for resident @1% by filling 26QB.

Is it right .can both NRI sellers get the certificate from ITO by computing capital gains and asking me to deduct at lower rate of tax. What document i need from them to deduct lower tds ??

Thanks in Advance

16 August 2017 Yes for your first question

16 August 2017 Yes both nri sellers can get the certificate from ITO requesting lower tds deduction. You need that certificate issued by ITO individually for both sellers

17 August 2017 thanks a lot sir for the help
