We are improting material from out of india.We have paid freight charges whether TDS is aaplicabe on this. Pls guide as he is charging service tax alos in bill.

NO SERVICE TAX CHARGED ON SEA FREIGHT.
FOR TDS..TDS WILL BE DEDUCTED ON WHOLE AMOUNT OF CHA BILL,INCLUDING SEA FREIGHT.

Yes Tds Will Be Charges On Freight from custom office To Warehouse.
If Transportor has Given pan No. Then Tds Are Not Required on Freight.

Yes tds has to be deducted on freight u/s 194C

TDS on transportation charges is not applicable if the transporter provides his PAN details. You should file TDS return with NIL deductions.
