Suppose Interest is Rs 100 and TDS is Rs 10.
Fixed Deposit A/c Dr Rs 90
TDS Receivable A/c Dr Rs 10
To Interest A/c Rs 100
FD to be shown in Cash and Cash Equivalents under Current Assets. TDS receivable to be shown under Current Assets.
Interest (Indirect Income)
Fixed Deposit A/c Dr Rs 90
TDS Receivable A/c Dr Rs 10
To Interest A/c Rs 100
FD to be shown in Cash and Cash Equivalents under Current Assets. TDS receivable to be shown under Current Assets.
