Hi,
I am working in a manufacturing & exporting pesticides. Pl let me have a clear idea about TDS to be deducted on Air freight and shipping freight as per new budget 2009.
Even i don't have to deduct tds on all road transporters of whose i m having pan nos.?
There is no surcharge to be levied on any tds??

Under new budget, we are not liable to deduct tds on raod transport.
TDS on air frieght is deductible @ 2% or 1% accordingly. Surcharge and cess not deductible.

agree with your point, there is no tds on road transporters.
but tds on air freight or shipping freight will be deductable by 2% or 1% alongwith cess 3%. In recent budget, surcharge only withdrawn. Cess on TDS is continuing.
please check and advice me if anything wrong by me.
