Hey! So, you got TDS deducted **without PAN**, and now you have a PAN and want to claim that TDS credit, right?
---
### Here’s the deal:
* When TDS is deducted **without PAN**, the deductor is supposed to deduct at a **higher rate** (20% or more). * If TDS return was filed with **“PAN not available”**, the TDS credit won’t get properly matched with your PAN in the system. * For the credit to reflect, the **deductor must revise the TDS return** and file it with your correct PAN details. * Once this is done, you will get a revised **Form 16A** reflecting your PAN, which you can use to claim credit in your Income Tax Return.
---
### Other options?
* **No real alternative** to revising the TDS return by the deductor. * You can write to the deductor to **revise the return**. * If they don’t cooperate, you can still claim the TDS credit by submitting proof of TDS deduction (Form 16A) and bank statements in your return, but this might invite scrutiny or delays. * The best and cleanest way is to get the deductor to revise the return.

If you want, I can help draft a polite letter/email to your deductor requesting revision of TDS return with your PAN. Would that help?
