Tds not reflecting in 26 as (ay: 2017-18)

My employer has issued me Form 16 Showing some amount of tds deducted by employer but this tds is not reflecting in form 26as. Now i am going to make written request for rectification. now i want to know that should i submit a copy of this request to IT officer of my ward or not ?
